A personal note from Dr. Leedy:

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 2001 and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 2007. I became a licensed Psychologist in Florida in 2008 (and Oklahoma in 2016). While living in Florida, I worked at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital as a rehabilitation psychologist in the Spinal Cord Injuries and Disorders Unit, helping newly paralyzed veterans regain their lives after a tragic injury. I then worked in the primary care clinics, counseling veterans who had chronic pain, illness, insomnia, depression, and anxiety. During my time at the VA, I was also involved in our Talent and Education Department, facilitating numerous groups over several years in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Franklin Covey) and Crucial Learning trainings, as well as Motivational Interviewing for multidisciplinary healthcare teams in the primary care setting. After 9 years at the VA, I decided to leave and worked for one year in dementia care and rehabilitation units, again collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and team communication.

I moved back to my hometown of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in the fall of 2015 and opened a private therapy practice a few months later, providing individual therapy, veteran disability evaluations, and growing a group private practice while sprinkling in some executive coaching work.
My personal and professional mindset and coaching influences include "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," "Crucial Learning," and the John Maxwell Leadership Program. I am certified as a Maxwell DISC Trainer.
Over the years, my understanding of personal and corporate leadership, as well as prioritizing whole-person health, has been paramount to my own mental well-being and the well-being of those I had the privilege of counseling and coaching. I'm grateful that God has called me to share what I've learned, and I'm confident that our work together will help you capitalize on your unique makeup so that you are living and working through your best self!
